Sadly the last days of summer are upon us now. Summer is my favourite season.
I like everything about it. There is more to do....my wardrobe is nicer and lots of
sunshine at the beach! Now that i have moved to the land of rain i don't look forward
to winter. Because that is what it does here in the winter...RAIN! My husband tried
to convince me before we moved here that it doesn't rain that much?! He's now
confessed that yes come November the rain kicks in. Did i tell you how much i
hate the rain?!
The last week of August has been spent enjoying as much of the lake as we can.
This is beautiful Lake Cowichan. As a family we spent the whole day swimming
and relaxing on the beach.
LOL-Welcome to the Pacific West Coast, Baby! So...what you are trying to say is that your husband is a liar? Did I say that? I mean...your hubby...glosses the truth a bit? I think you have to grow up there to enjoy it. My good friend moved from Oregon to the Midwest and longed to get back to the rainy world of Oregon. As for me? Even the Midwest is a bit too gloomy for me! I like the sunshine. Guess we enjoy what we have-while we can!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to spend the day with your family at the beach-you are right- Summer will soon be behind us and it will be the Holidays before you know it! Happy Summer Daze (what's left of them) Diana
...as wet as it is from nov till ....whenever...that is what gives us the beautiful green!...I know the rain can be a bit much sometimes ..but glad you are taking advatage of the sun now!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love that lake...we would always swim in it when we lived there. So beatiful..thank you for sharing my friend.

Oh my, this looks really beautiful - I am so sad to see summer on it's way out, I can't even think about it! Thank you for visiting!
ReplyDeleteI am in serious denial about summer's end. The lake looks gorgeous. I love snorkeling and can relate to Sam's enjoyment of it!

Pamela...the end of summer is a sad time no matter where you are. I miss the beaches so much but was thrilled to visit so many within a week. Have you taken any ferry trips to the islands - that would be a fun day trip for a September weekend.
ReplyDeleteTerrific outdoor shots.
ReplyDeleteDear Pamela, Enjoy these last weeks of summer, and don't worry about the rain. You'll find the beauty in each season as you go through your first year. I can't wait to hear about it and see your lovely photos. Love, Penny
ReplyDeleteI wish I was hanging on the beach with you having fun in the sun. :(
