Through the eyes of a cat

If anyone has adjusted well to moving 3,000 miles to another province
it's our cat
Acoya.
Acoya is fifteen years old and you would never know
it.
He also huge which you really cannot tell
by these photos.
It is quite astonishing at how large he is. He is very
beautiful and he knows
it.
They say moving is one of life's major stresses and
they also say
that it's hard on
pets.

Since we moved here 6 months ago
i have never seen a pet
happier!

Some days i may struggle with my new province
but then i witness this cat
joyfully coming and going all day
long
like
he's always lived here.

The reason why so many of us love our pets is because they don't hold us responsible for their
own happiness. After this major move in my life i can say they really can show you the way
to joy and happiness...anywhere you live!
I don't know what i would do without my pets to help me through this transition.
Thanks for following my journey and thank you to my friends for your wonderful comments
on my Sam's first recital! You all made him very happy.

  1. Your cat is beautiful and truly a contented creature to adjust so easily. Acoya needs just her people to love and take care of her and otherwise the sounds and sights of nature are enough - it's a simple life for a cat...

  2. I know what you mean about adjusting to a long move. Our cat was a sense of comfort for us when we took our long trek. Your kitty is lovely and has such wise expressions! She obviously enjoyed her big adventure. Take care! Susan :)

  3. What a beautiful cat! I love the pictures of him looking out the window. He looks so thoughtful; I wonder what he was thinking about.

  5. Acoya is very handsome! Great post! Sometimes I think we should take a hint from our pets... I have a cat who is somewhere between 13 - 15 and he too is large, not fat just large! He is very confident, knows what he wants and how to get it. He is very active. I watched him running, bouncing and jumping through the house last night and was just amazed at his stamina. He was putting the young whippersnappers to shame! They could not keep up with him!
